EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

For PhD in Engineering- Candidate must have passed Master’s degree in Engineering in the relevant discipline with more than 60% marks. 
Candidates who have enrolled in M.Sc,they can also apply for the same.

For M.Tech (by Research) Degree –  Candidate must have done Master’s degree in Science or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s degree in Computer Applications including Math or Physics as the core subjects in the Bachelors level with at least 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 on the scale of 10.
Candidates who have done M.Sc Computer Science or MCA and want to do PhD, first, they will have to register for M.Tech (by research) and then they can go for PhD.

For M.Phil/ PhD in Sciences/Languages – Candidate must have done Master’s degree (in Science) with at least 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks to be eligible for getting admission in M.Phil and Ph.D.

For PhD in Management– Candidates must have done Master in Business Administration (MBA) with at least CGPA 6.5 out of 10 or 60% marks.

For PhD in Law– Candidates must have passed Master’s Degree in law with at least CGPA of 6.0 out of 10 or 55% marks.

NOTE: For all the PhD programs, you must have done your Masters in regular.

HOW TO APPLY

Candidates must visit the official website that is www.vit.ac.inFill all the relevant data on the blanks and then complete the payment section.
Candidates need to pay Rs. 950 that should be drawn in favor of “VIT University” payable at Vellore.
Make sure you send the hard copy of filled application form along with the demand draft to “Dean Academic Research, VIT University, Chennai campus, Vandalur, Kelambakkam, Chennai-600127”.

Selection Procedure – The selection of the candidate will be done on the basis of the academic performance, performance in written test and personal interview.

Dead line for submitting the online application form – 4th December 2015
The written examination and interview session will be conducted on –  12th December 2015
Dead line for paying the fee – 8th January 2016
