National Institute of Technology (NIT Meghalaya) has invited applications for PhD Admission January 2016.
Interested and eligible candidates may apply for same before 8th December 2015.

The disciplines for PhD Programme at NIT Meghalaya, in which PhD is proposed to be offered are:
- PhD in Computer Science & Engineering (NLP, Pattern Recognition)
- PhD in Electronics & Communication Engineering (VLSI, Antenna Array Design, Wireless Communication)
- PhD in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Distributed Generation, Power Quality Improvement, Power System, Control System, Power Electronics and Electric Drives, Pattern Recognition Biometric, Image Processing, Instrumentation and High Voltage Engineering)
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Application of Soft Computing Techniques in Machining etc., Design & Manufacturing in Mechanical Engineering, Turbulence Modeling, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Fuel Combustion, Hydraulic System and Control, Vertical Axis Wind Turbine, Spray Automation, Energy Conservation)
- PhD in Civil Engineering (Environmental Engineering and Structural Engineering)
- PhD in Mathematics (Analysis and Ring Theory)
- PhD in Chemistry (Conjugated Materials and Its application)
- PhD in Humanities (Modern and Contemporary Literature, Nineteenth Century Literature, Comparative Literature, European Literature, Drama and Theatre Studies)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Candidates with Master’s degree in respective branch of Science / Engineering / Technology / Management with good academic record and minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA, will be eligible to apply these given programmes.
Or
BE / BTech with 75% marks or equivalent CGPA with valid GATE score also will be eligible.
Note- Reservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC (Non Creamy Layer) and PD categories shall be as per MHRD norms.
Application fees- Rs 500/- (Rs. 250/- in case of SC/ST) by Demand Draft in favor of “NIT Meghalaya” payable at Shillong.
