Ph.D ADMISSION NOTIFICATION 2015-2016
Applications are invited for admission to full-time/part-time Ph.D. programmes offered in the Departments of Periyar University and fulltime/part-time Ph.D.Programmes offered in the affiliated Colleges/Research Institutions* of Periyar University for the Academic Year 2015 – 2016 (December Session). Details of the programme, eligibility conditions and other instructions are available at our website: www.periyaruniversity.ac.in
Application forms and prospectus can be obtained from The Registrar, Periyar University, Periyar Palkalai Nagar, Salem-11.
Application Cost: Ph.D.: Rs.500/- first application is free for SC/ST/PH The payment must be made by Demand Draft from any nationalized bank drawn in favour of “The Registrar, Periyar University, Periyar Palkalai Nagar, Salem” Payable at “Salem”. Other modes of payment are not allowed. A self-addressed envelope stamped for Rs.40/- of size 28X13 cms has to be enclosed to get the application by post. A separate request has to be made for each programme. The envelope requesting application form may be superscribed as “Request for Application Form for Ph.D. Admission”. Candidates appearing for final semester/year examinations can also apply provided they should satisfy the eligibility conditions for admission at the time of joining. SC/ST candidates have to produce the attested copy of PG degree Certificate (or) Provisional Certificate (or) PG mark statements for all the semesters and Community Certificate along with the request letter.
Ph.D. registration is done twice a year only __ July and December. *- Candidates who wish to apply through affiliated colleges /research institutions are instructed to clarify the vacancy position in the respective institutions.
Last date for submission: 31 st December 2015.
SEPARATE HOSTELS ARE AVAILABLE FOR BOYS AND GIRLS IN THE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS
