Admission to Ph.D. Programmes 2015-16

IIT Jodhpur invites applications for admission to Ph.D. programmes for the Semester commencing in December 2015.
The aim of the Ph.D. Program is to develop graduates having good knowledge and research training in classical and emerging areas.

 IIT Jodhpur hosts Ph.D. program in areas of technology, engineering, sciences, and humanities and social sciences.
For the Semester commencing in December 2015, applications are invited in the following departments:

1. Chemistry: Ph.D. positions are open in following areas- Material Chemistry and Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Computational Bio-Physical Chemistry

2. Electrical Engineering: Signal Processing, 3-D/4-D Reconstruction of Images, Semiconductor Devices, Sensors, Device-Circuit Co-design, Control Theory, Real Time Scheduling and Computer Networks

3. Humanities and Social Sciences: Ph.D. positions are open in following areasA. English: Literature and Environment/Ecocriticism, American, British and Indian Environmental Literatures / Ecocriticism B. Philosophy: Applied Ethics, Sustainability Studies, Ethics and Technology, Cognitive Studies

4. Mathematics: Ph.D. positions are open in following areas- Image Processing and Wavelet Analysis, Dynamical Systems, Differential Equations and Discrete Dynamical Systems.

5. Mechanical Engineering: Ph.D. positions are open in following areas- CAD/CAM, Machining Science, Vibrations, CFD and Robotics

#: Applicants with appropriate background can also apply for Regular Full Time Ph.D. Program under "Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme for Electronics & IT". Admission will be offered in the department of EE or CSE depending on the choice of field of interest and academic background.
