Admission to M.Tech./M.S by Research/Ph.D. Programmes (2015-16)

   Welcome to PG admission portal of IIIT-Hyderabad. 

   IIIT-H is looking for students who aim to transform industry and society by developing new applications/systems by doing cutting-edge research. We focus on research in the core areas of Information Technology and its application in other areas.
   IIIT-H is inviting applications for the academic year 2015-16 from the candidates who have completed (or going to complete by July 2015) B.Tech./B.E./B.Arch. etc., in any branch of Engineering, BSc in Physics, Chemistry or Biology with good Mathematics background, or M.Tech./M.E./MCA/M.Sc./M.A. for admission into Postgraduate and Research programs in the areas of Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, VLSI & Computer Engineering, Computational Linguistics, Computer Aided Structural Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computational Natural Sciences (Dual-Degree & MSc), IT in Building Sciences, Spatial Informatics (Remote Sensing and GIS) and Humanities.
  Admission into M.Tech./M.S by Research/Ph.D. Programmes is very flexible at IIIT Hyderabad. A student with an Engineering or Science degree in any field/area can seek admission into any other field/area for higher studies. For instance, a candidate who has completed B.Tech. in Electronics/Electrical/Civil Engineering can apply for M.Tech./M.S./Ph.D in Computer Science, VLSI & Computer Engineering and Bioinformatics.

Important Notes:

    • M.Tech CASE : Students must take both General Aptitude and Structural Engineering papers. Shortlisted candidates based on performance in entrance exams will be called for interview.
    • MS/PhD in Civil Engineering: Students must take General Aptitude paper. Shortlisted candidates based on performance in entrance exams and prior academic record will be called for interview.
    • GATE scholarship is available subject to receipt of funds from AICTE.
    • Selection to Postgraduate Courses is based on performance in Entrance Test and Interview ( Gate Qualifying or Score is not mandatory for Selection of Postgraduate courses at IIIT Hyderabad )
